Here at SELA, we believe that children learn through play and hands-on experiences.  As early childhood professionals, we will provide your child with the tools they need to develop in all developmental areas: physical (gross and fine motor), cognitive, language, social and emotional, and provide the foundation needed to flourish in grade school and beyond.  We believe that quality child care should cater to the whole child as well as be your child’s home away from home.

• Virtual SELA: Tours, classroom visiting, and workshops through Zoom and our Procare App

As the Executive Director, I have over 25 years of early childhood experience and continue to learn more each day; staying abreast of the new trends and topics in early childhood. I have my Associate degree in Child Development from Malcolm X College and my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Practice from National Louis University.  I am currently going for my Masters in Early Childhood Administration and support my staff so that they have all the experience they need to be effective early childhood professionals.  I will always be passionate about working with children and am an advocate for all children.

 

Our goal at SELA is to provide a nurturing, safe environment for children to learn and grow.  We will provide the tools your child needs to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond.  With the proper foundation being set from the very beginning, there is only room for success. SELA; giving our sunflowers what they need to blossom and grow!
